Draft for client review. The registered legal name, registration number and licence details will be added before launch.
We collect what we need to plan your trip and nothing else. We do not sell your details to anyone, ever.
1. Who we are
Hifahamu Safari, Shangarai, Arusha, Tanzania, is the data controller for information you give us. Contact us about your data at [email protected]. This policy follows Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act, Cap. 44.
2. What we collect
Your name, contact details and country; your travel dates and the make up of your group; dietary and mobility requirements if you choose to tell us; passport details where needed for park permits and domestic flights; and payment references. We never receive or store card numbers.
3. Why we collect it
To prepare your quotation, arrange your trip, keep you safe while travelling, and meet our legal obligations. Dietary and mobility information is used only to arrange your trip safely and comfortably.
4. Legal basis
Arranging and delivering your trip is the performance of a contract. Marketing email is sent only with your separate consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
5. Who we share it with
Only those who need it to deliver your trip: camps and lodges, park authorities, airlines and our payment provider. Nobody else.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted after twelve months. Booking records are kept for as long as Tanzanian tax and accounting law requires, then deleted.
7. Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to withdraw consent. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within thirty days.
8. Cookies
This website uses no advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will ask for your consent first.
9. Security
Form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection and stored encrypted at rest. Access is limited to the people who plan your trip.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, tell us first and we will try to put it right. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Commission of Tanzania.
