Booking Terms

1. Parties

These terms form the contract between you, the lead traveller and everyone named on your booking, and Hifahamu Safari of Arusha, Tanzania.

2. Making a booking

A booking exists once your deposit has been received and we have issued written confirmation, not before.

3. Deposit and balance

A thirty percent deposit is payable on confirmation. The balance is due sixty days before departure. Bookings made inside sixty days are payable in full at the time of booking. Non payment of the balance by the due date may be treated as a cancellation.

4. Prices

Prices are quoted per person in United States dollars, valid for the dates quoted, and subject to change if government park fees, taxes or levies change before departure. Any such change is passed on at cost, with evidence.

5. What is included

As itemised in your quotation.

6. Changes by you

If you want to change your booking after confirmation, tell us in writing. We will tell you what is possible and what it costs before we make any change, because camps and permits may charge for amendments.

7. Changes by us

We may substitute accommodation of an equivalent or better standard, and alter routing where weather, road conditions, park closures or safety require it. We will tell you as early as we can.

8. Passports, visas and health

These are your own responsibility. Our travel information page explains what is usually required.

9. Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance including medical evacuation is a condition of travel. You supply your policy details before departure.

10. Liability

We are responsible for arranging the services in your confirmed itinerary with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, including natural events, government action, strikes and closures.

11. Complaints

Raise any problem on the ground with your guide or our office first, so that it can be fixed while you are still travelling, and in writing within twenty eight days of your return.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
